This is much more easier than paperwork :)

Well now that our dossier is flying over the ocean, well, last I checked it was :) We are praying to be submitted this Thursday but unless our facilitator gets it tomorrow, that will not be happening...so looks like, Lord willing we will be submitted on Thurs. the 10th, keep praying they accept us.

We have been busy with cleaning and organizing and the best part is....tomorrow I get to go to our bank to order new bills for our trip. This is exciting to me because we know every dollar we order came from the Lord and is His money. We are still some short and will continue to trust Him for the rest. He has been faithful the last 6 months, I cannot imagine Him to not continue with His faithfulness to supply our every need. We have seen Him provide $22,000 for us in 6 months...we have no doubt that the last stretch will be covered by Him as well!

What's next?

We have mailed our dossier to our wonderful facilitator in the U**aine. Once he gets it, he will then need a few days to check our documents and do the final translations.

We can only be submitted on Thursdays ( thought it was Mondays for those of you I had said Monday to :) Different age groups have different days they can be submitted. That being said we will either be submitted on the 3rd or the 10th of November...Lord willing it is not too late, pray it is not too late.

Once we are submitted we would typically wait on a travel date and because we are going on a special needs referral that would usually be fast. However, the U*rain* is undergoing this transition and are not giving out travel dates at the moment. From what I am understanding no one is sure when they will start giving out travel dates again..we hear all kinds of rumors but nothing official from our facilitator.

So...yes, this is big that our dossier is on it's way but pray after it gets there we can get submitted on time...please, please pray.

It is Gone!

Out to the Ukrai**. Today our documents left my hands and will soon, Lord willing be in the hands of the Officials. Pray they see all our documents as acceptable and that there are no problems that will need to be fixed within our paperwork. I cannot belive we have come to the end of our 6 month process of papers! We are so thankful.

Today in the mail came our Approval from U.S. Immigrations to travel for an adoption and to bring a child home to America. This was the last paper we needed. Tomorrow, Lord willing we will drive back to Pierre to certify this document and then Fed Ex our Dossier (all our documents we have been gathering) to the *kraine*. Pray our facilitator can work quickly to translate it (he is great!) and that the Ukra**e will accept our dossier. In the International Adoption World today we got what is called the Golden Ticket! Praising the Lord!

Praise the Lord!

I just got an e mail from our Officer at Immigrations and he approved our paperwork and for us to travel for an International adoption to the *kraine* on the 19th of this month..not sure why we have not got it but Lord willing it is on the way. Pray it is not too late !!

We stated this process about 6 months ago, please pray we get Immigrations Approval to travel ASAP! If we do not get it really really soon we may miss the cut off to be submitted this year. That means most of our paperwork will have to be done over, which means more money and more time. Literally anyday the Uk**ine will stop taking dossiers, noone knows when, just anyday now...we need/desire to be submitted and registered with the U**aine as potential adoptive parents. So..please pray for this with us tonight.

Ok the clock is officially ticking....

I say I am not going to post again until I check the mail and find our approval from Immigrations to travel for an adoption. The information they requested was signed by them this morning...pray they give us approval quickly so we can submit to the U****ne and wait on a travel date.

Because we have an outstanding social worker, very quickly she made the necessary changes that immigrations wanted. I picked up the paperwork and then overnighted it to immigrations..Lord willing they will get it first thing in the morning, Pray it is what they want!

oh boy...in a sad way

After getting that e mail from our facilitator about the importance of getting immigrations approval quickly and how each day to us now is vital...we checked the mail and got a pink slip from immigrations....they want our social worker to add and change some sections in our home study. With international adoptions, U.S. immigrations are very particular!They have very high standards with all this paperwork. It seems getting the pink slip is just sometimes expected. Please pray our social worker will make the necessary corrections quickly and we can move on quickly!

I got an e mail from our facilitator in ***aine this morning. He was wandering about the status of our immigrations approval. He says the clock is really ticking for us to be submitted. The new authority is about to take over, no one knows for sure when. We need to be submitted under the authority that is in power now. Three weeks ago I spoke with our officer from immigrations and she stated our approval was being expedited..well it has been 3 weeks. I hated to e mail her again, but I did this morning to make her more aware of our need to get that approval so we can be submitted ASAP. Please pray they would be very kind in giving us this approval immediately so we can submit our dossier to the Ukra*** and request a date to travel.

the Lord has provided a buyer for our van. We are sad to sell it but need those funds for this adoption. The Lord provided a family who just adopted, to be the new owners of our van. We are humbled and amazed to see the Lord work, yet again.
