Well...

we heard from our facilitator today and he had just talked to the SDA...it seems we have been processed but today was too early of a day for them to issue us a date...so they told him to check back on Tuesday to see if they have a date for us then.

We are getting close....

some families who were submitted around the same time as us got their dates this morning....they have appts for the middle of Jan. Praying we hear of our appt. this week!

We received a very generous monetary gift today to be used for our adoption. We are very humbled that you would make this sacrifice to help us bring our son home. I am humbled at the Lord's provision. Thank you, may the Lord bless you.

Today marks...

3 weeks...but, who is counting?? :)

No travel date yet...but our facilitator just informed us that he talked to the SDA this morning and Lord willing, we will have our travel date by the end of next week!!

Waiting, just waiting on a date...

no new news here. I did speak with our facilitator today and he said in our case, no news is good news...

To the one who gave me life, my momma and to the woman who means the absolute world to my kids!! Thank you momma for being right next to me for 31 years. I love you and am so thankful you are still walking right by my side. Happy Birthday.

2 weeks

Wow, time flies! This week marks 2 weeks since we were submitted. Our facilitator said give them 2-3 weeks before he touches base with them again. He said if there were any problems they would contact him...I am assuming all looked good since we have not heard anything. Those who were submitted in Oct. got Dec. travel dates...so since we were not submitted until the end of Nov. I could assume we would travel the first of Feb...however, as you know :)....with international adoptions assuming means nothing!! So..we are patiently waiting and praying for the Lord's wisdom and direction and trusting Him to meet the needs we have that line up with the desires in our heart :)

Mike's dad will be here on Sat. Lord willing...with his wife, her son and his daughter. Then on Christmas night my mom will be here for 9 days. So, for now...we are going to enjoy and love on the family we do have here with us and continue to wait on news from the adoption front. May God bless those of you who have daily prayed for us and with us, please keep praying.

Heaven

"Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it."
1 Thessalonians 5:24
Heaven is a place where we shall never sin; where we shall cease our constant watch against an indefatigable enemy, because there will be no tempter to ensnare our feet. There the wicked cease from troubling, and the weary are at rest. Heaven is the "undefiled inheritance;" it is the land of perfect holiness, and therefore of complete security. But do not the saints even on earth sometimes taste the joys of blissful security? The doctrine of God's word is, that all who are in union with the Lamb are safe; that all the righteous shall hold on their way; that those who have committed their souls to the keeping of Christ shall find him a faithful and immutable preserver. Sustained by such a doctrine we can enjoy security even on earth; not that high and glorious security which renders us free from every slip, but that holy security which arises from the sure promise of Jesus that none who believe in him shall ever perish, but shall be with him where he is. Preserving to the end, so thankful the Lord is able to keep that which He purchased, as we could never keep ourselves!

Mike and I have a certain situation concerning the adoption we are praying about...if/when the time is right, we will share. Anyways....It has really had me thinking on how our life is about to change, maybe even more than we would have ever imagined or had planned on when we started this process. It "hit" me the other day...I may never have rest again until I get to heaven!! Wow, what a thought...however, In service to the one who purchased me, I am very much eager to work for Him while on this earth and I very much anticipate heaven !!!

Very thankful today...

for many things! I am very thankful for our child's/children's birth mom/moms. I am thankful they choose to give their children life. I am thankful today for my salvation, for my husband, my children, my family, my friends, my church family...the list goes on...
